Outreach & Mission
Leader: Bill Burrell

Serving others is at the heart of a faith-filled life and St. Francis has had a long standing tradition of supporting programs in our community that serve those in need. We participate in a variety of outreach projects throughout the year.

  • We partner with Extra Food, a Marin County program for delivering food that would be otherwise be discarded to needed agencies in Marin County. You can volunteer to help deliver food on the Extra Food website or contact Sarah Sangster to find out more.
  • The Craft Group knits, crochets, and quilts gifts for patients of Marin General Hospital.
  • We support Gilead House, a shelter for homeless women and their children. We provide furniture and support when needed. Contact Sandy Williams if you would like to help support this important program.
  • Every fall we collect backpacks for school-aged children in need. Contact Dottie Kuchem to find out more.
  • We helped implement and continue to support the Mobile Shower Program in Marin. Additional volunteers are needed to support the Downtown Streets Team who was selected to operate the showers. If you are interested in volunteering, contact Bill Burrell or Betsy Guthrie.
